PayPal is a globally recognized payment service, and for good reason too: it remains one (if not the only) payment service provider where payments can be effected with just an email address (and nothing else).
What this means is simple: you don’t need to have complex payment details of anyone – or worse, expose your own account details to make or receive payments.
An extremely easy system, especially when it is understood that you can set things up in mere seconds.
PayPal is also available in most locations across the globe, ensuring that most of the world’s 8.3 billion inhabitants are served.
Unfortunately, from June 15th, 2026, ThrottleHolic will no longer accept PayPal payments. Here’s why.
Why ThrottleHolic Is Ditching PayPal
ThrottleHolic Auto DIY is an intense passion for me – and remains something I wish to do for the rest of my life, seeing that I love cars and the near sacred art of fixing them.
To this end, I’ve registered the business legally and used the certificates to create a business account with PayPal.
The new business account was limited immediately after the first tranche of funds got to it. I provided documentation, but for some crazy, illegal reason, the limitation became a permanent ban on the account.
For months, I was in correspondence trying to sort things out. When it appeared it was all lost, I asked for my funds, having clocked over 180 days (per PayPal’s TOS).
To my shock, PayPal refused to pay this money to date, giving all manner of excuses. Frustrated, I’ve decided to move on, focusing my energy on creating content around my number one passion, cars and vehicle repair. But, one thing is certain: I won’t be touching PayPal services EVER again!
Alternatives, Going Forward
So, going forward, what’s the PayPal alternative ThrottleHolic has decided on?
I’ve looked at many options: direct bank deposits, Payoneer, and Wise. Bank deposits take ages to arrive and have enormous fees; Payoneer isn’t available to most peer-to-peer accounts, and Wise is still struggling with basic acceptance with most of my clientele.
This leaves me with one universally accepted option: CRYPTOCURRENCY (USDT).
Cryptocurrency, like PayPal, ensures privacy and is available the world over; unlike Payoneer and Wise, it’s very peer-to-peer friendly, and payments are reflected in real time.
Contact me directly for my USDT wallet address if you need to make any payments going forward.
Thank you for your kind understanding.
