- Products I review are usually items I buy, use, and enjoy. Such reviews aren’t expressly marked (though I may casually indicate that I bought the item myself). Or, I may not.
- Occasionally, I get product review requests from companies seeking to introduce their products to my audience and the world, by extension. Such collaborations are paid for and clearly marked as such.
- Such payments (in the item immediately above) are for the exposure my platform provides; they are not meant to sway my observations and conclusions. I remain actively neutral in the entire review process as an independent publisher.
- For companies, reaching out to me is no guarantee I’ll accept the gig. Since I’m a DIY mechanic, my focus remains on what will make the home mechanic’s life easier. Unfortunately, not every product ticks this box. I reserve the right to review (or refuse to review) a product if I determine that it isn’t a proper fit either for ThrottleHolic Auto DIY or its growing community.
- Assuming a product pitched is a perfect fit for the ThrottleHolic Auto DIY community, a sample must be sent and received before such a review is published. I don’t run reviews by proxy (or publish pre-written reviews) on this website. Furthermore, ALL photos in the said review will be those I’ve taken of the product, myself. While helpful (and considerate), I always prefer using my photos to manufacturer-provided photos.
- All product review links point to the Amazon US store where I’m an affiliate. Sponsored posts may direct links/clicks to their websites or other web properties, other than Amazon.
- The shooting/publishing cycle runs between four (4) and six (6) weeks. In some rare cases, it can be shorter than this, but it’s NEVER longer.
- For all brand partnerships, a 70% minimum upfront payment is required before shooting or publication. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Starting 21st January 2026, PayPal is no longer supported as a payment method on ThrottleHolic Auto DIY. Supported options are Payoneer, direct bank deposits, and USDT (crypto). All associated fees will be borne by the merchant/vendor directly.
